We have an opening for a Production Operator to help us run our brand new Dicing lines and Optical Sorters, as well as operating state of the art Decanting and Evaporating systems here at JPNZ.

We need hardworking, reliable and motivated staff to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity to use your existing skill set while learning new systems and processes and gaining valuable industry knowledge.

JPNZ produces high-quality natural juice concentrates, juices and puree products which are exported to Japan, Taiwan, USA, and Australia. A key strategic focus is on developing and maintaining high-quality vegetable and fruit juices for export markets.

The Role

The role involves operating a range of plant, equipment, and machinery during 12-hour shifts in a modern processing facility. The role is based on the night shift on a 12 hr 4 x4 roster. Full training and safety equipment will be provided.

We are looking for: A night shift Trainee Operator with shifts starting at 5.45pm to 6am

Responsibilities:

• Operate production equipment in a safe and efficient manner

• Monitor production processes to ensure that they are running smoothly

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production

• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment

• Ensure that products meet quality standards

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

• Maintain accurate production records

• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production targets

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes

The successful candidate must be a NZ resident or have an appropriate work visa and will have:

• The “Right Attitude”

• The ability to read and follow Safety instructions and S.O.P’s, and help create them

• A willingness to learn new skills and equipment in a hands-on production environment

• A team player mentality, prepared to muck in and succeed as a team

• Experience in manufacturing processes, and an understanding of quality systems

• A questioning mind, asking the right questions to ensure our products stay the best

• A good level of physical fitness - not everything is automated, and computer controlled

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• The ability to communicate at a high level in a noisy environment, both written and verbal

• A high level of reliability & time management

• Ownership of their role

Desired (but not essential) skills/experience also includes:

• Supervisory experience

• Scada control systems experience

• Forklift license and driving experience

• Food manufacturing experience

We are searching for an experienced People and Culture Advisor with generalist HR experience. It is a salaried role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and has two direct reports. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 40 hours per week worked between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.00 pm.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deal with issues related to recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluation and performance, employee relations, and work policies and to provide internal HR advice and consultation to staff and managers. The role will involve:

• Evaluating and updating position descriptions

• Answering all human resources queries posed by management and employees.

• Training and advising managers on disciplinary procedures, recruitment, performance and development, remuneration, HR processes and policies.

• Oversee payroll processing and approve pay runs.

• Assist in remuneration reviews and provide recommendations.

• Maintain and continue the development of HR frameworks ie culture, recruitment, performance, remuneration, leadership capability, learning and development.

• Using HR software to input and compile data on employees and updating the records regularly.

• Updating HR policies in line with current legislation and informing staff about changes.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field

• 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role, including involvement in employment relations matters and performance development.

• Accreditation with Strategic Pay Job Evaluation methods would be a plus.

• A sound knowledge of NZ Employment Law and H&S practices and legislation

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at different levels, including senior staff members.

• Strong organizational, administrative and leadership skills.

• Working knowledge of HR systems and software.

• The ability to research, analyse, and make logical decisions within a given timeframe.

• Excellent writing ability to present clear and equitable company policies.

• The ability to quickly establish, build and maintain strong working relationships.

• Flexibility and judgement to adjust your approach to suit a wide variety of stakeholders and situations.

• An inclusive and collaborative manner

• Effective consultation skills and ability to build trust with leaders.
